“My son Tyler started New Horizon Karate’s program this past year (2007) per recommendation by one of his teachers at preschool. He’d been having trouble directing his energy and focus in a positive, channeled way. We were hopeful because at that point we felt helpless, hopeless and worried that the preschool may be right in suggesting he be held back another year before attending kindergarten. Tyler started the program and through growing pains and assertive, well-directed, respectful and patient direction of Master Jim Alty, Tyler began to flourish. Within two weeks his teachers made a point to pull me aside and state what an amazing difference they saw in Tyler’s behavior and attention. We noticed more confidence in him, he progressed and he continues to show the ability of controlling himself and his impulsiveness. He has come a long way and it was made possible with Master Alty and the teachers of New Horizon Karate guiding him along. Now his little sister has joined in too.”
